Is this capsular contracture? Have numbness and hardness of my breasts 5 months post implant revision with lift. (photos)

Breasts are always different right to left before and after any surgery- this includes healing. After repeated surgery for capsule, there is still risk for recurrence. Regular Evaluation by your plastic surgeon during the one year post op is important.

There is a grading system for capsular contracture.  Grade I is no contracture at all.  Grade II means that it can be felt but not seen.  Grade III means that it is a visible contracture and Grade IV means that it is painful.  Your left breast appears to be a little bit larger than your right breast, but there does not appear to be a visible contracture that is usually manifested by the implant riding much higher and tighter looking.  If the breast implant feels much firmer and is less mobile than your other implant, then you most likely have a grade II capsular contracture.  It would require an examination by a plastic surgeon in order to make a definitive diagnosis though.  I recommend that you see your surgeon once you have reached 6 months post-operatively.  That is when we usually feel that the final result is evident after breast augmentation surgery.  There is still some potential for your numbness to resolve over the next few months, but there is not anything that can be done to speed up that process.  Good Luck!
