There are very good sizing systems available to let you "try on" different volumes to see which implant size would work best for you.
Thanks for your question. This can only be answered through and in-person examination with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. An internet service like realself cannot give you dependable advice. Explain what your breast goals are and your surgeon will help you find a size that can fit your frame. All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL
Hi... Thank you for the question... To help you with your concern at least a photo and chest measures are needed... Repost your q
Hello Meghan. There are several sizes that would look great on your frame. What is more important than a doctor's opinion online is your own ideas of beauty and your goals. The way we size patients in our office really helps to achieve the goals set out by our patients: 1) Guiding patients to explore reasonable options for breast implant size, usually two to three similar sizes, which allows the patient to visualize how different volumes affect their breast cup. 2) The best guide for a final breast implant size recommendation is derived using measurements from the patient’s own breasts and chest. 3) When measurements are considered then options for sizes can be presented. 4) I use the Mentor Volume Sizing System of breast sizers to demonstrate how these different volumes will look on a patient’s body. 5) This methods offers good reliability and is simple to use, but is not perfect. You will most likely like several sizes and different cups. When patients feel unsure about a size, we ask them back to the office to try sizing until they're very confident with the choice they're making. Be sure to revisit your size concerns with your plastic surgeon.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO
The width measurement of one's breast is the best indicator of implant size to match a breast. After 4000 breast augmentations, 16 years, 1000 gummy bear implants, the width measurement is the most critical measurement when determining the implant size to match ones breast. Some of my favorite implant shapes are the textured shaped round base from Sientra. They look youthful, athletic, and beautiful.
Rather than cup size, think about the overall look you want to achieve. Generally speaking, I consider two factors when selecting implants for my patients:1. Dimensional planning2. Gel Implant Sizing systemDimensional planning – The measurements of your chest wall are taken. Also, the breast dimensions including the height, width, and current dimensions of each breast form the basis of dimensional planning. Based on these measurements, the implant size is recommended. This will give you a unique breast implant that is suited for your body frame. However, there are some limitations of what size we can recommend. For instance, some implants may just be too big for a narrow chest wall. Your surgeon can review this with you during the consultation.Gel Implant Sizing system – During the preliminary breast implant consultation, you will be provided with an option to “try on” a variety of implant shapes and sizes. You can also visualize the possible outcomes of your surgery which helps you to get that perfect size to give you the shape that you longed for. This way your preferences are known and you can then pick a range of implants that will “fit” just right to give a soft natural fuller look. Hope this helps.Dr. BasuHouston, TX
I think that you need to be seen in present determine what the right implant might be for you. You can also do a baggy test with the bra you want to fill to get a rough idea as well.
My patients use a try on system to simulate their results. In the OR I use sterile breast implant sizes. Find a plastic surgeon who offers these things.
Hi Chefmeghan, Thanks for your question about what size breast implants and cup size would be optimal for you. I completely agree with Dr.Pousti in that communication with your surgeon is key, and that "normal" is extremely subjective in regards to implant and cup size. Few plastic surgeons make guarantees for breast cup size with the breast augmentation procedure just because there is no standard of measurement for cup sizes among bra manufacturers. You would do very well to have an in-person consultation. Consider meeting with a surgeon who has at least one, if not all these credentials:*Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons*A member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS)*A member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS)Very best to you. -Brian S. Thank you for the question. There is no accurate/reliable/predictable correlation between size/profile breast implant utilized and cup size achieved. Online consultants will not be able to provide you with specific enough advice to be truly helpful. Ultimately, careful communication of your goals (in my practice I prefer the use of goal pictures, direct examination/communication in front of a full-length mirror, and computer imaging) will be critical. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is:1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work.2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. For example, I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "C cup” etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Again, the use of computer imaging has been very helpful during the communication process, in our practice.3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery, after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers.I hope this (and the attached link, dedicated to breast augmentation surgery concerns) helps. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with.
Thank you for your question and photos. The photos of movie stars can be helpful, but it's important to remember many of these pictures are usually retouched to make areas look fuller, softer, rounder, etc. On-line pics are good to give you an idea only of what you would like for fullness and...
Thank you for your question. If you are talking about using pills or creams to increase breast size, most do not recommend this. Some herbalists try and make their product look like hormones that might effect breast tissue. The potency is not close to what you need. If you want two cup...
All the previous experts have given you the correct diagnosis and treatment options. What is concerning to me is why you have NOT seen your chosen surgeon to dx this post op issue???
