Revision rhinoplasty looks terrible. Do I really need to wait until it’s been a year to have it fixed? (Photo)

I had a rhinoplasty 3 yrs ago and my nose was shortened too much. Went for a revision and the doctor put in rib cartilage to lengthen it but the result is now too long and big for my face. My nostrils retract when I smile and the graft on the tip points down giving me a witchy look. The tip has no definition and he also built up the bridge too much which we never discussed. It’s a well-constructed nose but does not fit my face at all. Is this fixable? And do I need to wait until it’s been a yr

Since you are very early in your postoperative healing, you would be surprised how much improvement you will see in your nasal appearance over the next two to four weeks. If your small sidewall indentation does not completely disappear, situations like this may be significantly improved with a...
You may need a secondary rhinoplasty but hopefully it is just some rasping of the dorsum that can be done under oral sedation. Unless the issue is really bothering you, it is best to wait at least a few months to ensure all swelling is resolved and no other issues need to be corrected in the tip.
I would recommend a rhinoplasty to lengthen your nose, smooth out your dorsal aesthetic lines, and even out your tip and nostrils. You may not have sufficient septal cartilage if it was previously harvested so ear cartilage or cartilage allograft may be needed.
