I have started taking zinc supplements and have noticed a significant reduction in shedding, from the hair on my head as well as my body hair that was excessively shedding. I notice probably at least 50% less hair in the shower. Does this mean that my hair loss issue was likely a deficiency in zinc (I have diffuse unpatterned miniaturization as well as chronic shedding which seems to have resolved). How long until I start noticing regrowth? Will the hair appear thicker at the root, if it does?
