Oral Minoxidil has been reported to lead to Allergic reactions in the  FDA literature when used on or off label. Topical Minoxidil is metabolized through the skin by a different mechanism. Therefore, use of Topical Minoxidil ,without side effects, cannot fully predict if you will tolerate oral Minoxidil.  As an aside, the chances of developing another side effect are much greater than a true allergy. Find a hair expert.
