I had an open rhinoplasty in 2020 with great results. A year later, I was injured, which caused a large concavity on the right side of my dorsum. My doctor offered to fix it so in late 2021, I had an in-office revision through one nostril where he placed an ear graft on my dorsum. Unfortunately, the graft was visible and created a large bulge on my profile that persisted after a year and half. My doctor agreed that it was too visible, and in 2022 I had a second in-office revision to remove the graft. Fast forward two years, I decided to do a full open revision rhinoplasty to narrow and straighten my dorsum and refine the tip of my nose, which was bulbous after my two in-office revisions. I was extremely excited… until about a week after my cast was removed and my tip swelling began going down, revealing very significant nostril show (which I never had a problem with before). While my surgeon did a great job narrowing my dorsum and refining my tip, my nostrils are now super showy from the front, something I didn’t anticipate. The tissue on the sides of my septum is visible and in pictures it looks very… unnatractive. My surgeon said I have to wait a full year to see the final result (it’s been 9 months), but this is making me seriously depressed. Can this be fixed via alarplasty or an in-office procedure? The bottoms of my nostrils need to be tucked up, which I can easily simulate in the mirror. I am extremely afraid this is unfixable due to my history (4 total surgeries)…
