I’m 24 years old and I’ve always had one side of my face that’s asymmetrical. You can see it most clearly in my eyes and cheeks. What non surgical procedure could bring some symmetry to my face?
Answer: Facial Slimming — Masseter Botox, Facetite/Renuvion J Plasma, Buccal Fat Pad Removal, Fillers to sculpt the Cheek/Jawline/Chin This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry you need maxillofacial surgery or implants customized. I suggest seeing an expert to go through all options. Most of my younger clients use fillers to give them shaping especially on the cheeks, jawline, and chin which make the face look more slim and tight; and threads such as PDO or Instalift can build collagen and support the facial shaping and skin looseness over time, slowing down the aging process and given the face a more “snatched” look; and morpheus8 or PiXel8 deep microneedling RF can tighten crepe skin especially on the neck and jawline and is great for long term tightening of the full face, neck and chest; its often used to give the face a slimmer more sculpted look because it tightens the skin and gives lift. an early face lift can be performed as well even in younger clients if they want a different facial shape, maxillofacial surgery with bone breaking or shaving can also be done. For facial slimming a combination of treatments are always needed. Options include: 1. Buccal fat pad removal to reduce fat on the lower face 2. Factite or Renuvion/J Plasma to tighten the lower face, jawline, and chin to reduce fat and give the jawline and neck tightening and shaping. 3. Botox to the masseter to reduce the muscular size of the jaw giving the face an illusion of being more slender 4. Fillers to the jawline, chin, cheeks, temples and brow help to shape the face and make it more angled and defined Always use at home derma rolling (see link to Emerageskin x anteageMD roller plus stem cells/hyaluronic acid ampules) and peels like emeragecosmetics enlighten or aerify that can be used to improve skin quality and tighten the skin while improving wrinkles, pigmentation, acne, and Melasma. See an expert who does facial shaping with surgical and non surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Asymmetry I want to start off with reassuring you that facial asymmetry is very normal and common! Some people are born with it but we also tend to have it progress as we age due to certain muscles becoming hypertrophied or weaker, sun damage, effects on collagen loss, etc. You would be a great candidate for botox to try and help minimize your asymmetry. In order to fully assess this, it is important to see how your muscles are activating during different facial expressions. Best of luck!

Answer: Congrats! Hi reliable- congrats! You have discovered the secret that every facial plastic surgeon knows -- all of our faces are asymmetric underneath! I don't have a resting photo of you so I don't know for sure how much you would need to change, but almost assuredly you should not chase after any of these small tiny subtle asymmetries that everyone else also has (start studying other faces and you will see what I mean... unfortunately we tend to fixate on ourselves more than others). However, if you were truly bothered by this and willing to pay money to get this addressed, you could consider doing some well-placed filler to try to match the sides a bit more. I would strongly recommend NOT doing surgery for this as that is way too extreme for this.

Answer: Non surgical options to correct facial asymmetry Each of these non-surgical treatments can help improve facial symmetry in different ways:-Botox works by relaxing overactive muscles, which can correct asymmetry around the eyes or eyebrows.-Non-surgical Rhinoplasty uses fillers to reshape the nose, helping to correct minor asymmetry.-Fat Transfer involves taking fat from one part of your body and injecting it into your face, adding volume and creating a more symmetrical appearance.-Laser Therapy reduces skin pigmentation, improves skin texture, and stimulates collagen production, all of which can contribute to improved facial symmetry.Remember, before proceeding with any treatment, it's essential to consult with a qualified professional who can provide detailed information about each procedure, including potential risks and benefits, to determine the best treatment plan for your specific needs and goals.

Answer: Facial asymmetry? It is very difficult to evaluate asymmetry of animated face, like in these photos. Based on photos, I would consider your level of asymmetry within normal range. It is my impression that good make up would do more than any non surgical procedure like Botox or fillers. Hope this helps.
