Am I a good candidate for under eye botox? I'm 19 years old and when I smile, I get these big rolls under my eyes. I've heard that jelly roll botox can be good for minimizing this.

Answer: I really don't recommend Botoxing the lower eyelid. The lower eyelid is a muscular hammock. Cosmetic botulinum toxin will weaken the hammock function of the lower eyelid orbicularis oculi muscle resulting in a weakening of this function. The effect is unwanted lower eyelid retraction. The effect of relaxing the lower eyelid muscle roll does not out weigh the negative weakening of the lower eyelid. This treatment is not recommended.
