It's taken me awhile to stir up the courage to post this online. I’ve decided to crop out my face because of the embarrassment. 3 years ago I was injected into the wrong muscle, which caused permanent nerve damage. I’ve been led to believe that Botox is temporary. Boy, was I mislead.. Can it be covered by insurance since my vision is permanently impaired? I can’t see properly anymore. I’m unable to go behind the wheel. I am absolutely devastated. My life has been ruined by a single needle.

Answer: In our experience over 25 years, the effects of Botox are completely temporary. Before reading your narrative, I viewed your photos, and I cannot tell the difference between your before and after photo. In both photos, you appear to have ptosis of your right eyelid. If you have visual disturbances out of the right eye because of your ptosis, please consider visiting an oculoplastic surgeon for evaluation and management. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Botox and it's complications I'm really sorry to hear about your situation. Dealing with permanent nerve damage and impaired vision can be incredibly challenging. In general, the coverage of medical treatments and procedures by insurance companies can vary depending on the specific policy and the insurance provider. Some insurance policies may cover treatments for complications resulting from medical errors or negligence, while others may not. It's important to review your insurance policy documents or contact your insurance provider directly to understand the specific coverage and benefits you have. To address your situation, I recommend taking the following steps:1. Contact your insurance provider: Reach out to your insurance company to inquire about your coverage for treatments related to the nerve damage and impaired vision caused by the injection. Explain your situation in detail and ask for information on the specific coverage available to you.2. Consult with medical professionals: Make an appointment with a expert medical professional, such as a neurologist or ophthalmologist, who specializes in nerve damage and vision impairments. They can assess your condition, provide a diagnosis, and recommend appropriate treatments or therapies.

Answer: Can insurance cover damage by Botox? Dear I don’t think insurance can cover the damage cause by Botox,, the better you can do is to ask the insurance or a lawyer if in your country you can get any compensation.
