Will I be able to get tummy tuck and breast reduction with hidradentis suppurativa?

I have HS skin condition. The worst is under arms (tunnels of black heads). I sometimes get boils under my breast and I have scarring. On my stomach I also have scaring and get boils occasionally. I've lost 70lbs and I want smaller breast (44FF) and smaller belly (waist 35, belly button waist 39)

Dear Washingtonian,   Sorry for your problem with hidradenitis supurativa.  I would strongly recommend to you take care of the HS before having the tummy tuck or breasts reduction, in order to prevent infection. You will have to consult with experienced board certified reconstructive plastic surgeons who are experienced with HS condition. Not a good idea if you have active infections to have cosmetic surgery. Best to treat the HS first..

I would recommend that you see a plastic surgeon to see if you have maximized your treatment of the hidradentitis (including excision of the affected areas) before pursuing surgery.  It may be that this is something that can be done at the time of your surgery (depending on the areas and how extensive it is).  Best of luck!

The short answer is yes! You can have these two procedures performed with HS but it will also require treatment of the HS to prevent infection and delayed healing- for which you should prepare yourself. The areas of Hidradentitis may be able to be removed during the tummy tuck and breast surgery which may be enough to rid you of the condition!
