I had filler injection yesterday on my forehead to fix a small scare I had from chickenpox. It's swollen, and it's very heavy on my forehead when I go down. When will it go away? Can i reverse it? The doctor has me on steroids now. I also had under the eye injections where she hit a nerve and my left side of face got numb for 2 hours. But my eyes are red. When will it go away? Will the steroids remove the injection under the eye?
Answer: Forehead swelling following injections From the photos that you have provided it appears that your injector has created a hematoma by hitting the supra trochlear artery. The artery runs from the corner of the eye to the scalp and is deep to the frontalis muscle in that area. Only time, not dissolver will take care of that.

Answer: Forehead Swelling after injection with filler I'm sorry that you are experiencing this problem. The swelling seems a bit too much and the dark spot in the middle of your forehead is concerning. Vascular compromise is a possibility given the location of your injection. I would have your doctor re evaluate you again to make sure this isn't more serious than temporary swelling of your forehead. The dark discoloration under your eye looks like a bruise and will go away in a few days.

Answer: Swollen in the forehead after injection with filler For one day following injection of a filler in your forehead and below your left eye, you do have more swelling than usual. However, it's difficult to evaluate at one day. One problem is the small dark spot in the middle of the swollen area on your forehead. If your surgeon thinks the blood supply is compromised, you should start Nitrobid cream on that area twice a day, or even get hyperbaric oxygen therapy. This will have to be your plastic surgeon's call. Otherwise, ice soaks for the first two days is a usual treatment for swelling.I have my patients refrain from taking aspirin, Advil, Aleve, ibuprofin, fish oil, flax seed oil, green tea, garlic, vitamin E, and herbs for 3 weeks before injections or surgery to avoid such bleeding and bruising.I hope this has helped you somewhat.Thank you for your question, and good luck.
