Persistent blue veins under eyes despite Yag laser, considering sclerotherapy or microphlebectomy, advice?

I had lower bleph 9 mo. ago and post-op had prominent blue veins under my eyes bilaterally. Now s/p 2 Yag treatments by an experienced laser physician (derm), spaced ~5 wks apart w/ no improvement. I'm hesitant to do a 3rd laser treatment since the first two were futile. I'm considering microphlebectomy or sclerotherapy by experienced provider, but can't find information online re: MDs that provide these services in the Washington, DC area. Suggestions on how to locate such providers? Thank you!

We specialize in microphlebectomy for under eye veins. We don't favor sclerotherapy as it can cause residual hyperpigmentation. Some veins are more resistant than others. I have had great success with my ND:YAG laser of the face. I also do sclerotherapy with Asclera on the face. This site may be a way to find vein doctors that specialize on cosmetic issues. Good luck!

Make sure you go to someone who is a vein specialist. Either of these techniques are difficult to perform on veins under the eyes and, in some cases - depending on the anatomy and approach, may be unsafe. Look for a doctor that has dedicated their practice to vein treatment and avoid a "vein mill". You may have to drive a bit but it's your face and it's worth it. The American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, cross-referenced with reviews on various websites should get you there. If you don't get a consultation from the doctor directly or the doctor seems remotely uncomfortable with it, choose a different place.

Blue under eye veins respond well to laser, sclerotherapy or microphlebectomy.  I prefer sclerotherapy as my primary treatment.  Go to vein directory, vein experts or phlebology . org to find a physician near you.
