I have read that they return often, and I'm hoping one aspiration will do the trick. I am very active and so unhappy I can't exercise. Also, I've been diligent about my abdominal binding and will continue to do so for the full 6-8 weeks. I feel like this is the worst decision I've ever made. The key in treating any seroma is to keep the cavity constantly drained/empty so that it closes in. This can be achieved by either placing a seroma catheter that stays in for a few days or frequent aspirations (daily if needed). Continuous wearing of the compression garment is also essential. Best,

Answer: Seroma Sometimes a seroma needs to only be drained once, otherwise it might take a few times. Do have it drained if it reoccurs. Be patient and give yourself time to heal. You may soon fine you love your new look.
