A "standard" botox treatment in the upper forehead will last 3-4 months. What don't you like about it? How it looks? How it feels? It is not unusual for it to feel a little strange at first but that will improve with time. If it's asymmetric it can be fixed. Although, that would require more botox. You received a very small dose. Typically the upper forehead is treated with 10-20 units. So I would expect that you'll start seeing it wear off in 4-6 weeks with full resolution 8-12 weeks.
Botox typically lasts anywhere from 3-4 months. Regardless of quantity, the duration of your results should be the same. You want to ensure that your dosing is adequate in order to achieve the results you are looking for. You may require additional treatment to achieve optimal results.Best of luck,Dr. Philip Solomon, Solomon Facial Plastic
Botulinum Toxin (Dysport or Botox) tends to wear off gradually beginning at 3 months and typically completely dissipated by 5 months.
Hi and thank you for your question. 5 units of Botox in an area like the forehead is not much at all. Botox usually lasts about 3 or 4 months, but being that your injector used such a small amount, you may not have to wait as long before it starts to wear off. Thank you,Alexander Rivkin, M.D.
Thanks for your question. For the forehead, the strongest effect typically last 4-6 weeks before it starts to fade. Usually by 3-4 months it is completely gone.
botox in the forhead can last as long as 3-4 months. you can try making the movement of raising the eyebrows to speed up the process of it wearing off. Good thing botox is not permanent
That is a good question that the panel thus far has contributed great answers. Botulinum toxin usually takes 3 months for it to wear off but this can vary with your body's ability to break down the toxin, the strength of facial muscles, and the type of toxin used (Botox vs Dysport vs Xeomin). If there is some lid ptosis and you want to reverse that there are some drops that can alleviate this faster than 3 months. For future reference just make sure you inquire their level of expertise in injection and prior to injection seek consultation from a Board Certified Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon.
Hi and thank you for your question! I am sorry to hear that you didn't like the Botox injected in your forehead. While Botox injection has become a routine procedure, it still requires great skill and experience to ensure optimal results and working with highly experienced cosmetic physicians is always recommended. Botox typically lasts for a few months and while individual results may vary, it tend to wear off faster in areas with higher muscle activity. Also, the wearing off is gradual and it is not like an on-off switch, so if there are issues related to too much Botox, hopefully you will see improvements much sooner, possibly even within weeks. Lastly, while there is no antidote to Botox, it is important to remember that most muscles work in groups and they are balanced with each other. Hence, if a patient see undesirable effects with Botox injected in an area, experienced doctors can still offer some help by countering the effect of Botox through careful injection of Botox into other muscles that balance the involved muscles. I hope it helps and good luck!
Typically it takes 3-4 months for botox to wear off but every patient can have a variable response. Regards, Anil Shah
botox usually lasts for about 3 months. 5 units is not a lot to treat the forehead, you probably should have double that amount. treating with 5 units will have a minimal effect, which would probably last between 2 and 3 months, but not longer.
