On your consent form it would have stated that this is a potential side effect of treatment and you would have consented to this. Most offices will not refund you if this was a result of your treatment
Sorry you are experiencing this. Unfortunately, this is a known negative side effect of Botox. Typically if dosed appropriately and injected correctly, this can be avoided, however, every patient's facial anatomy is different. You can always ask for a refund, but I assume you signed a consent form for Botox, explaining this side effect. Good luck.
The possibiltiy of droopy lids should have been discussed before injection or part of the consent for treatment. You should not expect a refund... as it is an accepted and known risk which can occur in the hands of even the most expert injectors. The good news is that it will reverse itself in due time and you should return to normal. Good luck,Armand Simone, MD FACS New York, NYBoard Cerified Plastic Surgeon
Thank you for your question. Sorry to hear about your experience. What you describe is a potential negative side effect of Botox administration that should have been included on your Informed Consent form. As a result, it is unlikely that you will receive a refund. However, I would suggest that you see your injector for an in-person reevaluation to fully discuss your concerns in order to determine the best course of action. It is possible that adjustments could me made to alleviate your eyebrow droop. Hope this helps and best wishes!
Eyebrow drooping is a normal reaction after Botox injections over the entire forehead. An unwanted reaction is eyelid drooping which is a different situation. You certainly are not going to get a refund. Next time you get Botox you need to ask more question to your doctor prior to the treatment.
Drooping is a known side effect of Botox injections, although not really common. You are certainly entitled to ask for anything you like but you will not get a refund
You're always entitiled to ask for a refund but as it is a known complication it is truly up to your provider whether they might do so. Most commonly this occurs when the injector places the Botox to low on your forehead. In experienced hands this is indeed a rare complication. If it were to occur to one of my patients rather than offering a refund I might offer to treat again at a discounted price.
Dear Kkpinks: Botox is tried and true when performed by a well experienced and Board Certified injector. If you find one who understands the anatomy, injection techniques and depth of injection, you should be very pleased with your 3-6 month results! ThermiRase uses radio-frequency energy to...
Botox will not harm your baby. However, you should not use it nor any other unnecessary chemicals or substances while pregnant or nursing. This is a precautionary measure, so please do not stress out about using Botox. Just wait until you’ve finished nursing to try it again. A board-certified d...
Thank you for the inquiry Shereen. In answer to you question, botox wouldn't be the best option to treat the area of concern. If this is a scar or a transverse nasal crease (normal anatomy), it would be better treated with dermal fillers. You could then add fractional resurfacing to blend it in...
