After a year of struggling with size/ weight, projection of my implants, finally downsizing from 225cc mod+ mentor anatomical(10.5 bw-proj 4.4) to motiv ergo mini 150cc (9.75 bw proj 2,4).Will the change be enough? Maybe I should sacrifice teardrop aspect which I like to go for smooth mentor round moderate 125cc(10 bw-proj2.2) to make sure I m small enough. Before my first op, I just wanted to keep a small b cup, just lift and fuller see photo pre-op. Which implant is best for my goal?Thank you!
Answer: Redo breasts augmentation with areola reduction Dear Washingtonian, Thanks for posting your pictures and your wish pictures. Sorry for your less than optimal experience. From observing your before pictures, you appear to be 32 small A cup size with level 2 ptosis that required only mini lift (donut, Benelli, circum areola). Your wish pictures vary from small B cup size to B cup size. Your current breasts appear to be 32 small C cup size. To become 32 small be you will need implants with volume of 125 cc. For 32 B , 175 cc. Additional noticeable imperfection are the following:1. Wide cleavage. Requires medial capsulotomy (scar release).2, Right sub mammary crease lower. Require either right inferior capsulotomy, or left inferior capsulorrhaphy (internal bra) to raise the crease to symmetrical level with right breast.3. Right breasts larger, require smaller breast implant.4. Large areolas , which you will benefit from smaller and more attractive areolas, using the areola reduction technique , like in a mini lift procedure without raising the nipples. Always, consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures of redo breasts augmentation with mini lift in the photo gallery, to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive with nice cleavage, perky, symmetrical and natural looking. Best of luck, Dr Widder

Answer: Implant size Dear Pioneering4109, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Breast implants It appears to me that you had a good job performed. If you use smaller implants I think they will actually look worse, not better.
