Question

Hello, I am a 27 year old female, and had these fat pads around my mouth since I was a kid. They were more prominent back then, but now that I am older and lost some weight these start to annoy me, and are noticeable at 3/4 face portrait. Inside they are like hard lumps to the touch. I would like to know what are the causes, and what m procedures can be done? Is further weight loss going to lose them? I am afraid as I get older they will start to sag down and worsen aging symptoms.. Thank you.

It's a pity that you didn't show photos of the entire lower face - it's hard to judge based on these photos, but it's possible that the solution for you would be to reduce the bichat pads.

Those are subcutaneous collections of fat known as perioral mounds. They can not be successfully treated by a buccal lipectomy which may make them look more pronounced as the cheek above it gies more inward. They require small cannula liposuction from a small incision inside the mouth to be removed. Weight loss will not reduce their size.
