A buccal fat removal procedure will likely not help your dimples disappear. Dimples are related to muscles and not soft tissue. It will be best to consult a board certified facial plastic surgeon in person and discuss your goals and options after a physical examination.Hope this helps,Ali Rıza Öreroğlu, MD FEBOPRASEuropean and Turkish Board Certified Aesthetic, Plastic and Reconstructive SurgeonIstanbul, Turkey
Hello, thank you for your question. It is hard to tell without a physical examination. I recommend you to schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.
Thank you for your question! Typically, dimples are not affected by removing the buccal fat pad as they are caused by the muscles and not the soft tissue of the cheek. We wish you the best!
Depending on the location and size of the dimples, buccal fat removal may or may not affect the dimples of the face. It would be ideal to submit a picture of the face in question both in rest and smile to evaluate properly.
Buccal fat removal will not erase dimples and might actually make them more pronounced. Fat transfer beneath the dimples may soften their appearance.
Cheek dimples will be largely unaffected by buccal fat removal. Dimples are not caused by fatty fullness around the dimple but by a muscular defect in the cheek muscle where the underside of the skin is pulled down into it.
