I really want to change my profile - I hate my receding chin and big nose.

The combination of a small chin and a large nose can be a problem for the profile. It can improve someone's appearance and self confidence tremendously if both are corrected. The average cost is any where from $5000 to $20000 depending on the area you live in. RegardsDr. J

Thank you for your pictures. The first thing I would recommend is an evaluation by an orthodontist. I suspect that you have a lower jaw issue that can be corrected with orthodontics and orthognathic surgery. That is the most complete treatment. If this is the case and you refuse for that treatment a chin implant and a rhinoplasty may be helpful

The rhinoplasty procedure can de-project the overly projecting nose, remove the hump, and make the nose  fit better with your facial features. A  chin implant can also be inserted along the front of the mandible to give added chin projection and improve your facial balance as well. The combination of rhinoplasty and chin is very common in our practice. 

From your profile you look like you need a rhinoplasty and a chin augmentation. The chin augmentation may not need to be as large as you made it in your photoshop. Best to be seen in person.  Best of luck.

If the appearance of your nose
concerns you enough, it can be cosmetically improved with a rhinoplasty.
Whether it is worth doing is a decision that is personal and only you can make.
A receding chin can be improved with a natural appearing chin implant.

based on two dimensional photos without examining you, physically feeling your
tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history and
discussing the pros and cons of the operative procedure would not be in your

appropriate for one patient is not necessarily the best for someone else. I
would suggest that you find a surgeon with extensive rhinoplasty experience
certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and one who is ideally a
member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) or a
facial plastic surgeon (otolaryngologist) that you trust and are comfortable
with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. The extent
and length of the procedure, cost, and the specific operative steps to achieve
an ideal cosmetic result vary from patient to patient and would depend on the
findings at your consultation examination.

This is very common surgery that I do. A rhinoplasty with a chin implant is standard. The recovery is rapid and the results can be dramatic. It is very important to do a conservative nasal reduction for a man as you don't want an over done nose. This can be achieved before you go off to college. A small chin (microgenia) can trick the eye into thinking that a nose projects too far.  Nevertheless, a small chin implant coupled with a mild reduction of the nasal dorsum may give you the results that you are looking for.  It is important to thorougly evaluate your jaw, however.  A small or recessed jaw (retrognathia) can also yield a small chin.  The treatment for retrognathia is far different than for microgenia.  As always, it is important to consult with a board-certified Plastic Surgeon.

Yes, you can absolutely have a rhinoplasty to reduce and refine your nose; and a chin implant to balance the lower half of your face.  With the chin being so receded, your nose appears larger.  Balancing the nose and the chin will look very natural.
