Do people notice whether you've had a nose job after surgery?

Typically friends and family will not notice that you had a rhinoplasty after it has been done.  If you mention to your doctor that you would like a natural appearance, this is easily accomplished.  Many patients stress out about this very concern and are relieved after the surgery that they are still recognizable.

It all depends on the surgeon and what a patient desires, obviously, but in general, most people will not notice that you're had a rhinoplasty performed! However, people may notice that you look better, even if they can't quite place the difference. Before undergoing rhinoplasty, discuss your expectations with your cosmetic surgeon. A well-done rhinoplasty performed by an expert surgeon can provide you with a natural-looking, beautiful nose!

If the rhinoplasty procedure has been performed correctly, it  should balance and fit with your facial features. After the 2 weeks of bruising and swelling has subsided from the procedure, most of our patients close personal friends don't notice they have  had a nose job.

It may come as a surprise, but most will not notice the change in your nose after rhinoplasty. Friends and family will know that you look well, though for some reason many just don't pick up the fact that your nose is different. They will if they see your "before" so you might have to clear out your facebook postings.

A well done conservative rhinoplasty is probably what you want. Here you can have the changes you desire, but the changes may be subtle. Obviously, you need to be seen first to know what is realistic.

As long as the surgery is done to provide a natural result that is proportional with the surrounding facial features people will not know that a rhinoplasty has been done. Carefully select your surgeon - one that shows you results you like in people who had noses like yours.

In general, most people will not notice you had a Rhinoplasty.  People know something is different, but not sure if it's your hair, you lost weight, and a number of other comments.  They just realize you look better, but can't figure out why.  I would not stress over this.  Best wishes!
