The short answer is yes. Because in order to fill in the hip dips you have to add volume to the central aspect of the butt and build out all of the fat all the way to the hip. But that doesn't mean you have to be huge--it is all about the shape. The main goal is to make a beautiful butt and not just a large one. Thanks for your question. It is difficult to answer your question without examining you myself and seeing your hip dips. However, it is possible to transfer fat to only the hip area. Personally, I like to blend the fat from the hips in to the buttocks so everything flows, but your buttocks doesn't necessarily need to get bigger. Unfortunately fat transfer to the hip area is often met with failure because the fat survives quite poorly in this area. I agree with the decision to carve out more of a slim waist line with liposuction. However, a more reliable, predictable and permanent hip dip augmentation would result with custom designed and fitted cosmetic hip implants.
