Had a Septorhinoplaty 6 months ago...very large pointy asymmetric hump dorsal, droopy tip..The doctor fixed most of my problem..im sort of happy with it but the lining on my right side is not straight I don't know if this was the surgeon's error or if i disrupted the bones during healing...but i think the latter might the true, im not 100% certain. Some lighting can really highlight this deviation...If i were to get revison, would it be worth it? are the risks high?

Answer: Lateral aesthetic lines after rhinoplasty Thank you for your question and sharing your photographs. Is 6 months following surgery you can expect still a significant amount of change from reduction in swelling. Swelling is unfortunately not symmetric which can be disconcerting. In some instances, it may be suitable to use steroid injections to decrease the swelling and to allow you to see the characteristics of the support more accurately. In the presence of thicker skin it usually takes between 2 and 3 years for the final result to mature. I suggest that you raise your concerns with your surgeon so that they are aware of your worries but for the time being it is too early to contemplate a revision for the problem that you are showing.

Answer: Consider waiting another six months before revision rhinoplasty. The bulge that you're referring to in your photo appears to be a long the path of your left osteotomy. Sometimes slight regularities like this will go away by the time of your anniversary. If you would require repeat osteotomies, this would not be a major undertaking. Hope this helps. Doctor Joseph
