I recently had a cosmetic rhinoplasty. I'm happy with everything except this pinching of nose. Can this be corrected through alar rim graft or batten graft ? Under local anaesthesia ? Please please reply

Thank you for your question. In a closed approach, there is no incision on the columella. This area could be accessed to reduce scar tissue underneath with this approach. Depending if the skin itself has scar thickening, you may need an open approach to revise the scar properly. I hope this...

Fillers will not significantly lengthen your nose so this may be of limited use. Ear cartilage is limited and soft so it is also not that useful for lengthening. Rib cartilage would be best option. However, there is pain and scarring from harvesting. Another option is fresh frozen cadaveric...

In general it is ideal to wait at least 12 months before any revision surgery to allow full healing to occur. There may be a few exceptions to this, and this would be best determined by your rhinoplasty surgeon and your particular case.

Often times, if a dent arises in the nose after rhinoplasty, it can be improved with a filler. If this works, then silicone can be placed which will give a more permanent result. It is certainly easier than going through another surgery. Be sure to see an experienced injector for consultation.

If your droopy nasal tip appearance is bothering you, the best way to address this may be with revision rhinoplasty. In our experience, fillers do not lead to tip lifting.
