When can you wear makeup/lipstick after getting lip injections?

Can you wear makeup right after getting fillers? What if I have somewhere to go the day of getting my lips done? I refuse to go out without wearing lip liner and lipstick! lol. But I also dont want to get an infection. When is the soonest I can wear something on my lips?

I think it is best if you can wait 24 hours before wearing makeup.  You will likely have some swelling and possibly bruising the next day; ice can help.   You can wear whatever lipstick you like, but a matte burgundy is best for covering any bruising. Hope this helps,  Lana Long, MD
