Thank you for your question. Most patients experience minor swelling immediately following fillers. Please remain patient with your final result as swelling tends to subside within 2 weeks. I suggest that you discuss your healing process with your board certified facial plastic surgeon and medical team.Best wishes,
Hi and thank you for your question! I always advise my patients to allow two weeks following any types of filler injection (including lip filler injection) for all the swelling to completely resolve and the treatment results to fully settle in. At this time what you see can be related to the swelling and hence patience is the best approach. If after two weeks you still have concerns, you should do a follow up with your doctor, but I wouldn't be worried at this time. I hope it helps and good luck!
It's too soon to see what your final results will be. There can be some swelling and/or lumps after lip injections which can last 1-2 weeks. You can apply firm pressure between two fingers on the lips for a few days, for 5 mins a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out the lumps. If you're unhappy with your final results you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. Best, Dr. Emer
Dear kyliestan,Juvederm has significant swelling post injection. I would follow up with you plastic surgeon but typically I tell all my patients to wait a full two weeks. Generally at 2 weeks they are happy and glad they didn't do anything.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
Thank you for your question. It is difficult to give you advice with seeing before and after photos. However, technique is very important when having lip augmentation, therefore you will want to see an expert. Some great fillers to help create a symmetrical lip are Volbella, Restylane and Juvederm. Another option to help improve shape and to create a lift is PDO Nova threads. I recommend having a consultation with an expert to discuss your concerns and determine the best treatment plan for you. Best of Luck!
You are describing the swelling after the lip injections. I would wait at least two weeks to see the full effects of the injections. It really appears to be swelling from the filler so I would just ice and wait to see the full results. Please consult an expert in lip fillers to have the beset cosmetic results. Best, Dr. Green
Thank you for your question and for sharing your photographs. What you are experiencing is most likely related to normal postprocedure swelling. Please keep in mind that it will take 2 weeks to allow for normal postprocedure swelling to fully resolve and to see your final result. If you continue to have any concerns at 2 weeks (final result), please be sure to see your injector for an in-person reevaluation in order to determine the best course of action. Hope this helps and best wishes!
Sit back and relax. It is definitely too early to start critiquing your lips one day post procedure. At this time there will be swelling and possible internal bruising not visible to the eye. I would wait at least 2 full weeks before making any final judgments as to the final results of your lip injections. Best wishes, S.R. Waldman, M.D.
Swelling after lip injections is extremely common. Some patients swell more than others. You can have some swelling (increase or decrease) or bruising under the skin that can appear like indentations. I usually let my patients know that if you have visible irregularities or asymmetries after 3-4 days, then call me. We always schedule rechecks about 1-2 weeks after filler to reassess. For peace of mind, I would suggest that you call the clinic where you had it done and let them know your concerns. I'm sure they would be happy to help. Lumps, bumps, and asymmetries can always be corrected, so don't worry too much. Follow up with your injector after a week or so if you are still concerned. Hope that helps! Kim Thompson, DO
