So I had an breast augmentation about less than 2 years ago. Now for the past 7+ months I have this dark line going down my cleavage. Also some very large bumps ( annoying & sometimes painful ) sporadically. Am I doing something to cause this? Or is it implant related?
Answer: Dark line on cleavage I encourage you to return to your surgeon for an examination. It is always best to evaluate any changes to the breasts to rule out concerns.

Answer: Dark line Dear JaysMrs, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Dark line on cleavage after augmentation? If you've recently had breast augmentation surgery and have noticed a dark line on your cleavage afterward, it's essential to consult with your plastic surgeon or healthcare provider. They can provide you with a proper evaluation and guidance tailored to your specific situation. Here are a few possible reasons for a dark line on the cleavage after breast augmentation:1.) Incision Healing: Depending on the type of incision used for your breast augmentation (e.g., inframammary, periareolar, transaxillary), you may notice temporary discoloration or scarring along the incision site. This discoloration can appear as a dark line, which may fade over time with proper care and healing.2.) Bruising: It's common to experience bruising after breast augmentation surgery. Bruises can appear as dark areas on the skin and often resolve on their own as the body heals.3.) Implant Placement: If the implants are placed beneath the pectoral muscle, this can sometimes cause temporary distortion or stretching of the overlying skin, which might create a noticeable line.4.) Skin Pigmentation: In some cases, individuals may have natural variations in skin pigmentation, and these differences may become more noticeable after surgery, especially if the skin is stretched during the procedure.5.) Infection or Complication: While less common, an infection or other complications related to the surgery could potentially cause skin changes, including discoloration. If you suspect an issue like this, it's essential to seek medical attention promptly.Your best course of action is to reach out to your surgeon or a healthcare professional who can evaluate the area, determine the cause of the dark line, and recommend appropriate treatment or guidance for your specific situation. They can also address any concerns you may have about your breast augmentation recovery and results.
