Hi, I had my nose pierced 20 years ago and removed a year or two after it was pierced. But it left me with a deep scar. I tried Affirm laser and PRP. Nothing helped me out at all. Can you please suggest the best procedure if any?. Thanks.
Answer: Subsicion or a scar revision can be done to reduce appearance of old piercing Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started. Answer: Scar Removal | Scar Revision | Nasal Piercing Thank you for your question.Direct excision and closure is likely your best option. To be sure, see two or more licensed and board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have these treatments. I hope this helps.

Answer: Nose Scar Treatment This would best be treated wiht removal and stitching then followed by laser treamtents. you could consider TCA cross for the scar but would take many treatments to work. Fillers cannot help with something this deep. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Nose Piercing Scar Can Respond To Punch Excision Followed By Fractional Microneedle Resurfacing In my opinion of a scar of this nature left by a nose piercing would likely best respond to a small punch excision and closure. Eight to twelve weeks later, the surface of the scar may be further improved via the use of fractional microneedling Resurfacing (also called skin needling, medical microneedling and dermal rolling). Such a combination of scar excision and subsequent resurfacing carries the name scarabrasion going back to the old days when dermabrasion was the resurfacing procedure of choice. For best results, the timing of the resurfacing procedure should be between eight and twelve weeks following the surgery.

Answer: Nose Piercing Scar This scar would respond best to simple excision and closure. The scar is depressed, wide and elongated, characteristics of a hypertrophic scar. Fillers, laser, or even dermabrasion are unlikely to improve these features significantly.
