Hi. I'm getting fractional laser. Is it safe to get it done under the eye? i.e under eye bone?im trying to smooth out the fine lines and so far it's working! I'm a bit paranoid so I'm afraid it will compromise my sight. Also could it change or compromise the shape and the lip line of my top lip? I have a scar on my top lip but I really really love the shape and line of my natural lip so I'm afraid the laser will change it please I need some advices!!
Answer: Fractional lasers can reduce fine lines and wrinkles under the eyes Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Fractional laser for eyelids and lips The fractional laser is a safe technique for improving crepe skin and fine lines on the lower eyelids. Proper precautions must be taken to protect the eyes in order to prevent inadvertent injury. The fractional laser is also a powerful tool for improving lip lines. I have never seen it change the shape of the lip.

Answer: Fractional CO2 laser for eyelid and lip areas Yes - its safe to do it there if it is a qualified, experienced Dr.. I use laser eye shields to protect the eyes because blindness is a rare possibility with this treatment - so pick you Dr. wisely - and its a great treatment for the lip area!

Answer: Resurfacing Around the Eye Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing is not only safe around the eye, but essential. Resurfacing rejuvenates facial skin. However, not resurfacing around the eye defeats the entire purpose. The area around the eyes holds the key to having successful resurfacing. Without doing this area, the peri-orbital area looks dull and aged. In fact, I always save this area for last because the result is so dramatic and is the perfect finishing touch. As for the lip scar, it depends on the size and location of the scar. While CO2 laser resurfacing is an outstanding procedure, the result is only as good as the experience and skill of the doctor performing the procedure. Please make sure your doctor has both.

Answer: Yes- CO2 best for tightening. Yes, obviously see a Board Certified specialist for this treatment. We use either internal eye shields or external depending on the clinical situation. The best fractional for tightening is CO2, but other fractional laser can be effective as well. Eye rejuvenation with laser can give an amazing difference as eyes are the very first thing people look at when they meet or greet you. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
