I had it done before only on scars. I know the doctor is supposed to clean the area first with alcohol or something but she didn't. Now i have like mini pimples in areas on my face. she prescribed two creams Mebo and fucidin. Is this normal should I wait till it forms a scab and peels or do I need to see my dermatologist? This didn't happen the first time and I wasn't even using the antibiotic I used the burns cream only. I hope the photos are clear enough the pimples are like that on different areas
Answer: Milia after fractional laser resurfacing This can be a common complication from people who get fractional resurfacing and needs to be treated with topical acne medication. I suggest speaking to your physician but this will improve with the right course of short term treatment. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: I had a laser fractional treatment on my whole face,I think something might be wrong it formed pimples? Thanks for your question and photos – and we always recommend that you do these procedures in the offices of board certified dermatologists or plastic surgeons as we are the true experts in the procedure, in the post care, and how to best handle concerns like you are having, which should have been explained to you beforehand and be part of the post-operative instruction and care sheets. Breaking out with acne or milia post-laser resurfacing can occur and has been seen since the beginning of the procedures. It can be from activation of the sebaceous glands during the treatment or even from occlusion with some of the wound care agents used afterwards. MEBO is common in Asia and is usually an ointment and can be occlusive and fucidin is also at times occlusive. I would not panic but would be in touch and see your provider and if it does not go away, I would see a dermatologist – one who understands lasers.

Answer: Pimples? Milia(tiny little cysts) can form after dermabrasion or laser resurfacing, and that might be what you are experiencing. I'm a bit more concerned by the skip areas, the areas not included in the resurfacing. This may be noticeable once this has healed.
