Can I wash or bath my face whiles undergoing fractional laser treatment? (Photos)

This looks as if you have facial calcinosis that doesn't respond to lasers.  I suggest if you have active acne you go on isotretinoin to completely resolve the acne and then start to treat scars and pigmentation with lasers, peels, and skin care. Best, Dr. Emer.

Thank you for your question..  I am very surprised your dermatologist did not give you washing instructions. I recommend you contact your provider and review your instructions.  You need to know the type of laser that is being used, as "fractional" only refers to the beam passing through a filter so it is delivered in small pixels or dots, and not a solid, continuous beam.  There are many lasers that are fractionated to reduce discomfort and healing time.  Some are more aggressive than others.  My fractional CO2 and Erbium laser patients are alll instructed to wash their face daily after laser treatments.  Check in with your board-certified dermatologist that is experienced with all skin types to clarify.
