Lash extensions before breast augmentation (9 days time).

Question

I got eyelash extensions and didn't even think about it until after that it may not have been a good idea. I am having my breast augmentation in 9 days. Will this affect whether or not my surgery will happen? My paperwork says no lotions, deodorant, makeup, and polish but doesn't mention eyelashes. Hope I didn't just screw up because I have no more paid time off to get my surgery and can't change my days off.

Thank you for your question. Your eyelash extensions should not be a problem at all. Please speak with your PS as every surgeon has their own protocols.

Thank you for your question.  Eyelash extensions are not a reason to cancel a breast augmentation procedure.  Remember to mention your lashes to your doctor prior to your procedure so that care can be taken not to damage your lashes.  Best of luck.

Thank you for your question.  Eyelash extensions should have no impact on your breast augmentation procedure or recovery.  I would, however, recommend informing your anesthesiologist so that they take extra care not to manipulate them.  Best wishes.

Hello!  Thank you for your question!  I do not think that there will be an issue with your ability to proceed with your surgical procedure.  There should be no implication. Discuss this with your surgeon prior just to inform him/her to ensure.  However, the only issue may be that sometimes your eyelids are taped during the procedure by the anesthesiologist, which may ruin your lashes.  Be sure to tell your anesthesia provider.  Best wishes!

Hi.  We have never seen a delay in surgery after eyelash extensions, provided there is no infection or reaction to them/glue.  Let the doctors and staff know so that they protect them as much as possible.  Good luck with your upcoming surgery!

I wouldn't think your surgeon would have concerns that you recently had Lash Extensions. However, do mention it to your surgeon who can also share it with your anesthesiologist for completeness.

I would run this past your PS and hospital provider. In my practice this is not an issue other than making sure the lash are not altered during the anaesthetic / surgery.
