I'm 5'5", 19 years old and 120lb. I gained 10lb in the last 6 months (I went abroad and got a bit fat... lol). I'd like to get to 110lb or less through diet and exercise (I'm aware this sounds quite low but I was under 95lbs my whole life; I gained weight within the last 4 years because of mental illness.) Do you think it would still be possible after losing 10-15lbs? I like being quite thin. P.S I know I have some self harm scars. I'd appreciate no negative comments about them. :)
Answer: Do I have enough fat for fat transfer to breasts? As Dr. Kress has noted, fat transfer to the breast is still not a mainstream procedure for breast augmentation. The fat take is unpredictable, many women do not have enough fat to use, and the procedure usually needs to be repeated to produce the degree of augmentation desired by most patients. Breast augmentation with implants is still the gold standard in aesthetic breast augmentation. All the best!

Answer: Breast Augmentation with Fat, Weight Loss It is always best to lose as much weight as you can prior to undergoing a procedure. At this point in time breast augmentation with fat may be your best option if you are willing to settle for less than a cup size in augmentation. With weight loss you may not have enough fat to transfer. Time will tell. Please consult in person with an expericenced Board Certified Plastic Surgeon prior to making treatment decisions.

Answer: Fat transfer to the breasts Breast enlargement with fat is a great sounding idea but the majority of board certified surgeons don't do it other than for minor irregularities such as dents from biopsies.1. It is more expensive than augmentation (considerably)2. It takes longer than expected.3. There can be problems with the donor area, especially if you're thin4. The procedure has not been accepted by the plastic surgery societies. 5. The question of possible risk of future cancer and cancer detection has not been answered.6. It cannot be reversed

Answer: Fat transf Fat transfer is now a mainstream procedure in my practice. I started doing fat transfer to the breasts 3 1/2 years ago and have been pleased with the results. In fact, I do more fat transfers than implants these days. The beauty of fat transfer is that there is no implant involved and therefore no need for implant related surgery in the future. You are slim at your current weight and getting enough fat to make a difference in your breasts would be challenging but not impossible. My guess is that you would have about a one cup increase in your breast size. If you were to drop to 95 lbs (which is way too thin for a woman and your height and build), fat transfer would not be possible. If you were have fat transfer and then drop to 95 pounds, the benefit to your breasts would disappear. It is very, very important that patients undergoing fat transfer understand that they need to be at a healthy and stable and sustainable weight. Also, elective plastic surgery is for patients who are vigorously healthy, both physically and mentally. With your history of mental illness, most plastic surgeons would require that your mental health provider give you the okay for surgery. Any surgery, even elective plastic surgery, is stressful and you would need to make sure you are very emotionally stable going into surgery. A small improvement in your already lovely figure would not be worth a relapse in your mental illness. Take a look at my blog that may help you get an idea of how much volume fat transfer can provide.

Answer: Do I have enough fat for fat transfer to breasts? At your current weight you probably have enough fat to rtransfer to the breasts and get maybe 1/2 bra cup size increase. But of course if you do that and lose weight, you'll lose the fat that was transfered too. If you lose weight first, there won't be much to transfer. Much better to get implants.
