I just love Dr. Romano. He's simply the BEST, a MASTERFUL surgeon and here's why-

Dr. James Romano gave me back my life, my peace of mind and confidence. The last several years have been extremely difficulty. In 2019 I had two botched breast surgeries (Different Surgeon) that left me with an implant in my right armpit along with a slew of other scarring and painful placement issues. Due to this I was scared, untrusting, and very concerned I'd spend thousands of dollars to be butchered, again.

Dr. Romano's professionalism and compassion were evident from our first meeting. He took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, discuss potential options, and address any concerns I had. His approachable demeanor and genuine commitment to patient well-being is always is primary concern to him.

After many pre-op visits it was so evident that he had read my surgical history, thought about every aspect of my surgery and knew exactly how to execute it.

The surgical process itself was executed with precision and skill. Dr. Romano's expertise is so evident, and the results exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail and the commitment to achieving a natural and aesthetically pleasing outcome were truly remarkable. I love my new breasts. I am shocked at how UNBELIEVABLY skilled and talented Dr. Romano is. He is masterful.

Post-surgery, Dr. Romano continued to exhibit a high level of attentiveness. Follow-up appointments were scheduled promptly, and any questions or concerns I had were addressed with patience and expertise. Dr. Romano's work is so good, he even surprises himself. I can tell this by his enthusiastic response when he sees the results. That makes me really happy because I know he did an amazing job but if he thinks he did an amazing job, that's even better. His ongoing commitment to my care reinforces my confidence in choosing Dr. Romano as my surgeon.

Dr Romano corrected my capsular contracture by performing a full capsulectomy and using a mesh in the revision surgery. He was very informative, respectful, and I’m thrilled with the results. I can’t recommend him enough.

Dr. Romano is an amazing doctor and was a great educator throughout the full process of my surgery and recovery. I had revisionary breast surgery with very specific concerns I wanted to address. I did a lot of research and found Dr. Romano to be in line with what I was looking for by browsing several photos and reading through his website (which is very educational). Dr. Romano was extremely collaborative, he helped educate me on the variety of options and provided his recommendations with pros and cons of each choice. My original implants were saline and I had a problem with them drifting under my armpits significantly which was very uncomfortable. I am two months out from my surgery and could not be happier with the results - they are staying in place and looking amazing! We decided to go with silicone implants for multiple reasons and I like the way they feel and look much more than my previous saline implants. I was going after a natural look and needed some other corrections (shaping) and have to say Dr. Romano is a perfectionist! I have no visible scars with the incision through the lower half of the nipple line and it's only been two months. He also has an amazing staff supporting him both daily and in the surgery room. Dawn is very accommodating and helpful with answering any questions and providing additional materials.

Dr. Romano is the best of the best if you want a natural breast augmentation. I chose him based on a referral from someone I trusted - as soon as I saw his before & after pictures on his site, I knew he had to be my doctor! I had researched & thought about a boob job for years, but never could fully commit to the idea, until I saw how natural my friend's results were. His work speaks for itself! The best part was the recovery - because of his techniques, I never needed more than 1 pain pill after surgery. I can't recommend Dr. Romano + his staff enough.

I was impressed with Dr Romano from the beginning all the way through my procedure and follow-ups.

In our initial appointments, he made sure that he was very clear on shape and volume I wanted in my breasts and body contouring , and also where I was looking to reduce fat on my body. He was honest with me about what areas were not going to get results - which I appreciated. 

I'm fit, so there wasn't a ton to work with, but I am soooooo happy with my results. My breasts look just a size bigger and fuller, and I have noticeable definition in my waist and hips. I'd highly recommend.

I had trauma that destroyed my right nipple and it looked like chewed up bubble gum. Most surgeons reduce nipple length but he can reduce the sides. He saved my happiness and fixed my nipples. I wish I had found him sooner because I was stuck like this for over twenty years. He is one of the top surgeons on Earth. Thank you so much you dear precious man, Dr. Romano!

Superb! From our first consult I knew he was the surgeon from me. I told him what I needed to feel like me again. I had just had my 4 child and breastfed all 4 so I had very low confidence in my breast at the time. Dr Romano listened attentively and he said with confidence, he could do the job. I went up 650cc and my scar, well I don’t have a scar. Perfection! This was 6 years ago and today I am still very satisfied with my results.

I've been meaning to write this review for a while. I saw Dr Romano for a breast augmentation in September 2016. I'm now researching other treatments on Realself and it reminded how helpful this community was when I had my BA, so I figured I should give back :) The whole process went very smoothly with Dr Romano and he provided me with beautiful, natural looking results. We used the peri-aerolar incision and you can hardly see the scar. Dr Romano is all about natural looking results, which is why I chose him. And I'm very happy I did!

Top Doctor indeed! Dr. Romano is the best of the best no doubt. There's a reason I traveled from the very talented area of Silicon Valley to seek his expertise. Dr. Romano and his staff have always treated me with the utmost respect, professionalism and care. My surgery required careful planning with Dr. Romano. I specifically chose him because of his several years of experience coupled with his highest level of technique and ongoing education. We achieved the results we planned for and I am very happy. Dr. Romano is a true blessing.

Dr. Romano performed nipple reduction surgery on me five years ago. I flew up from Los Angeles to San Francisco for this and knew he was the one for me. Ever since I had this surgery I still cannot believe how incredible I look. Yes....even after all these years. I don't just wake up happy because I have gorgeous nipples/breasts. I wake up happy because I look so natural like a full grown woman should. I don't look like a prepubescent girl. His surgical abilities are simply miraculous!
