I was diagnosed with lipedema and secondary lymphedema in my legs. I'm desiring full leg/circumferential (thigh, hips, knees, shins, calves) liposuction. I also had gastric bypass 15 years ago. I know I have skin laxity in thighs. Will VASER 1- correct the lipedema and give debulking results? 2- tighten the kin enough or only deflate it... requiring thigh lift? 3- average cost of full leg lipo? 4- how many required surgery's?
Answer: VASER LIPO AND THIGH LIFT IN ONE SINGLE PROCEDURE. Hello emnjoseketo, I appreciate your questions! You seem to be a good candidate for circumferential liposuction, but I would recommend using the VASER liposuction instead since traditional liposuction is associated with a higher rate of contour irregularities with liposuction of the thighs. Moreover, you may need a medial thigh lift if you have excess skin in this area. Fortunately, the two procedures, Vaser Lipo and thighs lift, may be performed combined in one surgical intervention. Costs associated with the surgery varies among doctors, from one geographic area to another, and with the techniques involved. Usually, insurance does not cover these costs. However, many surgeons (myself included) offer financing plans to make the procedure more affordable. Your plastic surgeon can assist you with your decision about potential areas for sculpting and anticipated results. Kind regards! Dr. De La Cruz

Answer: Vaser liposuction hello emnjoseketo A good candidate is a healthy person seeking a fast and minimally invasive way to get rid of stubborn fat. Those patients looking for better definition of muscles and better contouring of body parts. Those patients who are looking for more sculpting of their body are good candidates for Vaser as apposed to traditional liposuction. #thighs #hips

Answer: Vaser ultrasound liposuction for legs In my experience, Vaser will address legs- usually inner and outer thighs, inner knees. Anterior or circumferential thigh and calves in the proper patient. Shins less so.You appear to have good skin tone for tightening from Vaser without lift.An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon who performs these procedures is recommended to confirm you are a candidate as well as discuss your options and expectations.

Answer: Vaser Liposuction for lipedema That's a lot of questions packed into one. Let's take them one at a time. Congratulations on losing weight. Another side of congratulations on being able to keep it off. Unfortunately, you will experience laxity of the size. Vaser is designed to loosen up fat tissue prior to liposuction. Vaser by itself does not remove the fat; it just liquefies it. Then we perform traditional or power-assisted liposuction to remove it. I do not see that Vaser explicitly tightens the skin. It can help some, but this is not a primary function of Vaser. There are better devices to tighten the skin. Most likely, if you do not use that power device, you will have to live with looser skin. The cost of liposuction can vary from $20,000 to $30,000 for Lipedema. Usually require more than one surgery. Some surgeons will do five or six if they operate in their surgery center. The surgeon who does high-volume liposuction, like me, can usually accomplish that in two surgeries. A lot of patients who have symptoms can have their procedure covered by their insurance. I provided a link to our website below. Happy to help you if you're interested.
