The Deep Plane Facelift not only rejuvenates the lower face and neck but also includes the benefits of a mid-facelift by addressing the midface region during the same procedure. By lifting and repositioning deeper facial tissues, it restores volume and contours to the cheeks and under-eye area. This comprehensive approach eliminates the need for a separate mid-facelift, as the deep plane technique naturally achieves balanced, long-lasting, and natural-looking results across the midface, lower face, and neck.
The beautiful part of the extended deep plane lift is you get a wonderful lifting of the midface soft tissue without having to do another procedure. The tissue is lifted all the way to the nasolabial line which requires freeing the connective tissue tethers that keep the midface from moving. This allows the soft tissue to move more freely and thus the mid face is lifted at the time of the procedure. All the Best, Dr. J
Thank you very much for your question. A deep plane facelift procedure integrates a significant amount of mid-face lift.In order to make the procedure more powerful for the mid-face elevation, it can help to place the incisions and therefore the scars also in the temporal region in front or on the edge of the hairline. This allows a distribution of the tensions that is more significant, more vertical, and allows also more purchase on the muscles around the lower eyelid to help the contours of the front of the cheek.
Sometimes I ask what the motivation for a question is, specifically because a properly performed deep plane facelift should allow for self-volumization and midfacial elevation. If this isn't sufficient, I have found 3-4 incremental sessions of Sculptra to be an amazing adjunct and would strongly recommend this approach over an isolated midface lift. But, to answer your question , I would wait a minimum of 6 months between procedures.
Hello, hope you are well. One of the defining traits of the deep plane facelift is that it includes a midface lift. This obviates the need for a second procedure to address the midface. Hope this helps!Best,Dr. Tower
A deep plane facelift, when performed correctly is the ultimate in lifting the midface. In fact, it's so effective that it actually supports the lower eyelid!
I’m not sure why you are asking the questions but my opinion about midface lift is that it is absolutely useless. If your retailer facelift is done well no need for a midface lift
If done correctly, a deep plane facelift will do more for the midface than a "mid facelift". So, this would not be needed. We'll need more information to sort out what's happening for you.
A proper Deep Plane is enough to lift the mid face. If you happen to have had a Deep Plane lift that did not give you the result that you expected, you should wait 12-18 months. If you go back early the tissue will not be flexible enough to lift, the surgeon will not see the anatomy well, and you will risk nerve injury.
