There is nothing wrong with the profile of your nose and I wouldn't recommend a rhinoplasty to alter your nose profile which is close to perfect.
Unless I’m missing something, I think you have a very pleasing profile. Unless your frontal view shows something, I’d recommend leaving it alone.
I would recommend starting with a consultation with a board certified facial plastic surgeon that specializes in rhinoplasty surgery to discuss if rhinoplasty can address your concerns. I would recommend writing down the following questions before scheduling your consultation:1. Are you unhappy with the tip of your nose? 2. Do you feel that your nose is too wide? 3. Do you want to make your nostrils smaller in appearance? 4. Are you looking to decrease the general size of your nose?I hope some of these questions will help you pinpoint what it is that you don't like about your nose. Cost will vary due to many factors including: facilities fee and anesthesia fee. I wish you the best as you research your options when scheduling a rhinoplasty consultation.Sincerely,Philip J. Miller, MD, FACS Double Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon
Hello and thank you for your question. Based on yourphotograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. You may also benefit from a conservative dorsal humpreduction. Make sure you specifically look atbefore and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performedby your surgeon and not just a computer animation system. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. Irecommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plasticsurgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D. FACSHarvard-trained plastic surgeon
I think that you have a beautiful nose in the profile view. Based solely on these views, you have a very nice nose and I would not recommend a rhinoplasty.
The limited photographs reveal a very small dorsal hump projection which can be shaved down, however the results will be measured only by a couple millimeters. Consider placement of a chin implant to augment the chin forward to help with facial balance and proportions, especially from the side profile. Consider digital computer imaging performed in the office setting to further delineate what can be accomplished with your nose and chin upon your facial features. For many before and after rhinoplasty/ chin and plan examples, please see the link and the video below
Hi and thanks for your question. I think the reason you can't specifically find the problem is because there isn't one. Seriously. The 3rd picture is the best profile view of the 3 and most people would kill to have that profile. And certainly don't change the profile of your nose...I think it looks great and there are many plastic surgeons who have your profile be their goal when it comes to rhinoplasty. Maybe things will change if we have a frontal view but having just the profile views, I wouldn't change anything.
Every nose isdifferent and unique to that individual. If the appearance of your noseconcerns you enough to do something about it, it can be improved with a naturalartistically performed rhinoplasty. What would be the best option and exactprocedure would depend on an in person examination (not just an onlineconsultation) and discussion about desired outcome. Excellent results canbe achieved with either a closed or open technique.Keep in mind that following advice from a surgeon on this or any other websitewho proposes to tell you exactly what to do and how technically to doit based on two dimensional photos without examining you, physicallyfeeling your tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medicalhistory and discussing the pros and cons of the operative procedure would notbe in your best interest. Natural appearing results need to be individualizedand what is appropriate for one patient is not necessarily the best for someoneelse. I would suggest that you find a surgeon with extensive rhinoplastyexperience certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and one who isideally a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) orthe Canadian Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (CSAPS)that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with thatsurgeon in person. Robert Singer, M.D., FACSLa Jolla, California
As one of the other doctors already advised, your profile view is perfect. I also would not recommend a Rhinoplasty or other procedure. You would be taking an unnecessary risk and ruin what you currently have.
Typically the septum does not actually move with respiration, at least not visibly. Do you recall whether your surgeon removed any of your septum during your surgery? It is possible you could have less cartilage than you did before surgery, which might let the mucosal lining of the septum move a...
It is very likely that your nose will continue to flatten out as the swelling goes out from the surgery. Implants can create additional swelling that can last several months so at this time I would remain patient and follow up with your surgeon.
Thank you for your question. Although VSG may seem like a simple surgery, it does take some time to recover properly. Although four to six weeks is the minimum amount of time you should wait before having another surgery, I recommend waiting a bit longer to ensure complete and proper healing. My...
