I got filler a year ago under my eyes and had the tyndall effect. I loved the result minus the tyndall effect which is very hard to cover up! will this happen again with a different filler? I am afraid to try it again.

Answer: Avoiding Tyndall effect from filler under eyes The way to avoid Tyndall effect under the eyes is to inject the filler at a deeper level. It is usually a placement problem, not a problem inherent to the filler itself. I typically use Restylane under the eyes and my patients do not have a problem with Tyndall effect. You can also use Belotero more superficially under the eyes but it requires expertise to achieve great results.Regards,Dr. Ort

Answer: Under eye injections?tyndall effect The tyndall effect occurs when the filler is injected too superficially into an area. It can happen with any filler and really is a placement problem. The filler should be dissolved and the area should be re-injected. You should discuss your concerns with your provider. This can be avoided by injecting the product deeper into the tissue.
