I was very pleased with my experience whith Dr. Jonathan Lee.I had a tummy tuck +liposuction procedure. He was very professional from the first minute we met, very carring and easy to get ahold of after the procedure, if I had any concerns or little things needed to be adressed. The girls in the office are simply amazing, caring and easy to deal with. Not considering a change of doctor for future dealings.Five month out, and very happy with the results and process overall. Would recommend Dr. Jonathan Lee to every person that want quality service and best results.
I’ve had a horrendous hereditary double chin for as long as I can remember. I am ~130lbs now but even when I’ve gotten my weight down to 100lbs I’ve still had a pocket of fat under my chin and a weak jawline. I’m so self conscious of it that I think about it literally all the time, I’m always trying to hide my face or stick out my lower jaw. Basically every time I look at photos that have been taken of me I would cry over how awful my double chin looked. I’ve tried Kybella/belkya and coolsculpting and neither of them gave noticeable results. I had my consult on Aug 29 and my surgery today (the 18th). I chose my surgeon based on his overwhelmingly positive (and actually authentic compared to some of his competitors) online reviews, many of them stated that he is a total perfectionist which sounded great to me! Dr.Lee is very personable and clearly cares about his patient’s results. He had ordered multiple implants for the day of just in case a different size looked better. The front desk girl and the nurse who I talked to at my initial consult were both so sweet, both intimidatingly pretty but that’s to be expected at a plastic surgery office :p My surgery went well, I woke up in a lot of pain but the meds made it go away pretty quickly. Just recovering at home now and I will update this post with my progress! They took a photo of my chin as soon as it was implanted after the lipo which is what I included :) I will upload my after pic later on Updated on 19 Sep 2019: It had only been ~8 hours since my surgery and my chin already looks better than it did before. The swelling is less volume than the fat I had there before if that makes sense. I’m so excited to see my final result once it heals :) Updated on 2 Oct 2019: After my last post my neck started to get really swollen from the lipo, as expected. I looked like I had a goiter for about a week. It’s starting to go down now but definitely still pretty swollen, no bruising though. For about 6 days I couldn’t talk very well because my whole bottom lip was numb (my implant was intra-oral) but now it’s almost back to normal. I hope my actual chin doesn’t go down any more because I think it’s the perfect size right now, it doesn’t feel swollen so hopefully it’ll stay the same. I’m excited to see my neck swelling go down more. I have my first follow-up appt with my surgeon tomorrow. Updated on 7 Oct 2019: Since my last update, my swelling has been going down SO fast. This is the best decision I’ve ever made - I could not be happier. I can’t wait to see what it will look like by 3 months Updated on 9 Nov 2019: Most of my swelling is gone. I love the result, I feel like it fits my face really well and definitely doesn’t look too dramatic. I’ll update a last time when I get my official after pics at 6 months :) Updated on 22 Nov 2019: We had a photoshoot at work today and it was so strange to see photos someone took of me and actually like how I look ????
Couple of months ago Dr. Lee performed surgery on my face and neck – he removed multiple lesions that were not only a medical problem, but also had a huge impact on my self-esteem. I could not be happier with the result! Dr. Lee made very tiny incisions that are now almost invisible and removed even more lesions then we had agreed prior to the surgery. I’ve had similar procedures before done by other plastic surgeons, and can confidently say that he is a true master of plastic surgery, an artist, who is also very kind, caring and gentle. Overall my experience with the clinic was great. The girls at the front desk and nurses were super friendly and helpful. I developed a bit of rash around the incisions few days after the surgery, and the office was able to fit an appointment with Dr. Lee that same day, which shows how much they care about their patients. Any surgery is associated with some level of discomfort, pain and stress, but Dr. Lee and his staff go over and above to minimize that and make their patience’s experience as positive as possible. I am so thankful to Dr. Lee and his team, it brings tears to my eyes every time I think about my experience. Thank you!!!
I had originally come in to see Dr. Lee for information on fillers but when the girls explained the 4D laser treatment I opted to give it a try. I have had laser treatments before for tightening and promoting collagen but the results I received from the 4D treatments were beyond my expectations and better than any other laser treatment I have ever had. I am in my early 40’s and have tried in the past to repair sun damage and try and get back some of the skin elasticity With limited results. These 4D treatments were absolutely amazing! I take care of my skin but have spent a fair amount of time in the sun and have some light wrinkling around my mouth and eyes. What I was most unhappy about were the increasing laugh lines around my mouth/cheek area and the loss of my jaw line as I have aged. The 4D treatments addressed all my concerns and I would highly recommend it for anyone who wants a more youthful appearance.
Dr Lee performed an outstanding Brest augmentation on me on June 25th 2018. I am beyond pleased with the overall experience and the results. Thank you much Dr Lee and Shelby For everything! The whole team is o professional and friendly!
I went for a consultation with Dr. Lee to monitor the healing of the face-lift I recently had done abroad. He had been recommended to me by a fellow passenger on the flight back to Calgary. I very much appreciated the fact that I didn’t have to wait as I was there a bit ahead of schedule. The ladies at the reception were very professional and pleasant as well. Jena was extremely conscientious in gathering as much information as possible on my general health and previous surgeries. She was also very pleasant to converse with. Dr. Lee examined me and confirmed that healing was progressing according to schedule. He also confirmed that the various aids I am using for my recovery are the correct ones. Dr. Lee’s professional opinion gave me the peace of mind I was looking for to enjoy the rest of the summer!
I am 59 yrs. old. I've been getting fillers for many years but none of the doctors/injectors I went to in Calgary could do the the sensitive area under my eyes UNTIL I found Dr. Lee at Calgary Institute of Plastic Surgery. He did an amazing job using the Cannula method in my under eye hollows and cheek area with NO bruising. Dr. Lee was not available on my latest visit so I was introduced to Thomas who did the injections. He does fabulous work as well, very meticulous! I can't tell you how much I love the Cannula method. I use to bruise a lot with every filler injection I've had in the past but not with this method AND I couldn't be happier with the results! Both are very good at what they do, the are good listeners, attentive to your concerns, very comforting with a sense of humour and the front desk staff are the best! I am SO very happy that I found this place.
I found my initial consultation appointment at the Calgary Institute of Plastic surgery to be a very pleasant experience. Dr Lee and his staff made me feel at ease, were very informative and answered all of my questions. I had not anticipated the promotion of skin care products but this is my first foray into the world of cosmetic surgery. I did purchase the products but did not feel that I was pressured to do so. Dr Lee's website is very well laid out and easy to navigate, providing details of available procedures as well as what to expect postoperatively.
I had a breast augmentation by Dr. Lee this summer. It was my first ever major surgery and cosmetic change to my body. Dr. lee and his staff made me feel comfortable and informed every step of the way. He is VERY knowledgeable and humble. His team knows their stuff and are a great group of ladies! I feel comfortable every time I am in the office. When I walk in the door I am greeted by my name after just a couple of visits the staff has gotten to know me although it is always busy. Dr. lee and his team have made a life long client out of me! Thank you guys for everything!
Dr. Lee and his team of professionals, were very kind, helpful and knowledgeable when it came to my questions about Breast Augmentation and Abdominoplasty. I took a while deciding on the Breast Implant Size and everyone was patient with me. I believe I kept the office open an hr after closing and no one said a thing! Dr. Lee has a sense of humour, which is comforting and the nurses were great!
Hello there, Thank you for your question. From the photo provided, it looks like something a little filler could help to correct. By using soft dermal fillers to fill in the areas of volume loss (i.e. shadows by the smile lines and corners of the mouth), we can achieve a very natural yet corrective result. In some cases, we do recommend patients to add some volume to the mid-face region as well to better balance and harmonize the face as a whole. Hope this helps and we wish you the best of luck!
Hello there,Thank you for your question. By adding volume to the lateral cheeks using dermal fillers, we can create an illusion of a lifted face and further enhance the 'upside down triangle of youth'. Other non-surgical options for lower face tightening could be radio-frequency (EndyMed 3Deep) to stimulate collagen and elastin, and/or laser (intra-oral laser to work around the smile lines and marionettes). Hope this helps and we wish you the best of luck!
Hello there, Thank you for your question. The best and quickest way to treat the lines and fold on the neck is to inject a soft dermal filler right into the folds to help soften the line and prevent further creasing due to repetitive movements (i.e. looking down on the phone with the neck bent). Filler treatments are quick with instant gratification, giving you results immediately post injection. With the right product choice, it should give you results lasting up to 12 months. Other treatments such as microneedling and PRP (platelet rich plasma) can further enhance the fabric of the skin, and is great for preventative measures. Hope this helps and we wish you the best of luck!
Hello there,Thank you for your question. To best protect your investment in filler treatment, we recommend you to wait at least 1 month prior to any exposure to high heat (i.e. laser, tanning beds, radiofrequency, and ultrasound devices). Some non-ablative laser treatments do not penetrate deep enough to impact fillers, but it is the swelling around the filler/ residual healing that we want to take into consideration as well. The water content developed by the swelling post injections has high heat capacity, which can lead to more irritations/burns if treated with a high heat device immediately after. As for microneedling, there is no contraindication aside from the healing time. Microneedling is a great option to further enhance and improve the skin texture, which can benefit the longevity of your overall result. Give it 2 weeks for the filler to settle and the tissue to heal from the inside out and you should be good to go.
Thank you for your question. It is not uncommon to have odd areas of tenderness in certain parts of either breast within the first few weeks after breast surgery. The two breasts may also be different in terms of how quickly they recover and one may always be slightly more painful, swollen, high-riding or bruised compared to the other during the recovery phase. If the area of tenderness is only the size of a nickel, I would not be concerned at this point. Things to watch out for would be a significant generalized swelling in the breast with more pain, tightness and firmness compared to the other side that is getting progressively worse. This may be a sign of a hematoma which is a collection of blood into the breast. I certainly don't believe this is your case but it is always a good idea to follow up with your plastic surgeon when he returns. I hope this helps and good luck! Jonathan Lee, MD,
