Is traditional liposuction or Vaser liposuction better suited for me?

More important than the type of liposuction used, is the surgeon's skills performing the procedure. Your most important consideration is the selection of a board certified plastic surgeon. Look at many before and after pictures and select the surgeon you feel most comfortable with. There are all types liposuction devices which are mostly marketing hypes, results are more important than which device is used, trust your surgeon. Good luck.

Many varieties of liposuction are available including ultrasonic, smart lipo, and conventional lipo. However, the results depend less on the method used and more on the surgeon and the postoperative care.During your TT consultations your board certified plastic surgeons will note skin laxity, striae, and scars and will point out any irregularities or asymmetries such as an umbilicus that is not midline.  They will also determine if liposuction or liposculpture will be appropriate or beneficial.

In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 30 or less.

High definition VASER liposuction is the better treatment of the two. For one, it can reacher deeper layers of fat than traditional liposuction. Also, this procedure is less invasive, so recovery is easier and the scar is less visible. Liposuction is not the procedure that I would advise you to have. You will have a better result from a tummy tuck that will tighten your abdominal muscles and remove some of the excess skin. This will leave you with a flatter tummy look and I think you will be happier with your final results. Thank you for your question.

Based on the information and photos you send us, you are a great candidate for a liposuction combined with tummy tuck. This procedure could give you a excellent result. Fat transfer should be discuss as well, to reshape your body and give you more curves.  It is good for you to know than liposuccion alone could give leave you a excess of skin.  As you can understand studies and test are needed to see if you are clear for surgery but in general, if you seek the attention of a certified plastic surgeon, you should have a great result and a normal life.
