Thank you for your question. It is very common, for us to add things on to procedures that are covered by insurance. I would just speak to your surgeon and make sure they are alright with doing so.
Thank you for your question! Yes, it is possible to combine a breast reduction with liposuction of the abdomen and flanks, however, it will probably not be covered by insurance. I hope this helps!
Thank you for your question, You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best. The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heats the skin with radiofrequency devices such as Renuvion (J-Plasma), InMode BodyTite, and ThermiRF to heat the undersurface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HI-DEF VASER Liposuction and can only be done by a well-trained body contouring specialist. At the same time, fat should be harvested and purified, with PRP and stem cells added, and then injected into muscles, indentations and cellulite to get body shaping and contouring. For a Brazilian butt lift (BBL), we inject the fat into the buttock for contouring and lifting, but fat can also be used in areas such as the chest/breast, arms/shoulders, calves and face. Cellulite should also be treated with a combination of Cellfina, subcision, and/or fillers such as Bellafill, Renuva synthetic fat, or Sculptra. If skin is very loose before surgery, then it will need to be removed: tummy tuck/abdominoplasty for lower abdominal skin; breast lift for excess breast skin; and/or a brachioplasty for loose arm skin.Overall, you need a full assessment, but simple liposuction alone will not tighten skin and needs a combination of various methods -- fat removal, skin tightening, defining, fat grafting, skin removal -- to get the best in body contouring and body sculpting. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer.
Hi. It is fairly common to add on a cosmetic procedure to an insurance covered procedure, but you need to obviously discuss all that with your surgeon. They can typically help you figure out beforehand what component of the operating room and anesthesia cost that you are responsible for. Good luck and take care, Dr. Howell
Yes, this is possible and done frequently. The operative report shows the separation of the procedures so that the liposuction will be your responsibility for the surgeon fees, anesthesia, and operating room charges. Discuss this with your surgeon. Good luck.
Hello and thank you for your question. Liposuction can most certainly be performed at the same time as your breast reduction, if you are a good candidate. The liposuction portion of the procedure would be considered cosmetic and would not be covered by insurance. You would be responsible for the cosmetic fee for the surgeon. You would also be responsible for the anesthesia and facility fee that it takes to complete the cosmetic portion of your surgery.Consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience with liposuction is recommended to help guide you. Best wishes!
Thank you for your question.Yes, it is possible to have those procedure at the same time. But first, for safety reasons, to be a good candidate for the procedures you want at the same time, your labs and cardiovascular preoperative evaluation must be optimal.Kind Regards,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
Hello and thank you for your question. Generally speaking, liposuction or any other body contouring procedure can be performed with your breast reduction. However, those procedures are considered cosmetic and not covered by your insurance. You will be responsible for the cosmetic portion of the procedure, which includes additional OR/facility fee and surgeon's fee. Talk to your board-certified plastic surgeon for more discussion. Best, Pejman Aflaki, M.D. Johns Hopkins-trained double board-certified plastic surgeon
These two procedures generally can be performed in the same time. However, only on the basis of in person consultation and discussion with your board certified plastic surgeon you can receive all information needed. Good luck.
Liposuction is often added as an adjunct procedure. While this is safe, the question of insurance coverage is another issue entirely. Generally speaking liposuction is considered cosmetic and without medical necessity will not be covered. Typically, in situations where cosmetic procedures and insurance based procedures are combined, you will be billed separately for the non-medical procedure. As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).Donovan Rosas MDBoard Certified by the American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember: American Society for Aesthetic PlasticSurgery, American Society of Plastic SurgeonsRealSelf Verified MemberRealSelf Top 100RealSelfHall of Fame
Liposuction should make a huge difference for you on the legs and is easy to undergo. Make sure your doc stands you up occasionally to fine tune it as well for best results.
Everyone has some degree of fat. if its significant I can't be removed with liposuction. You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best. Traditional liposuction awake and smart liposuction are old methods and do very poorly for tightening ...
Thank you for your question! For my patients having liposuction, they typically have drains for 2 weeks post surgery. I recommend discussing specific post op questions with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!
