Telangiectasia on nose and chin. Ive tried laser religiously for 3 years and it has not helped.
Answer: Telangiectasia on nose & chin Thank you for submitting the picture, that helps a lot! Sclerotherapy isn't meant for facial veins, unfortunately. We have had very similar situation with a patient recently and had great success with Excel V treatments! It is a laser, but maybe it is one that you haven't tried yet. Even though you haven't had much success with laser treatments in the past, it most likely will still be your best chance of clearing it up. Best of luck to you!

Answer: Small veins on the face Dear patient, I don't know what type of laser you have tried. Diolite laser and Photofacial can usually get rid of these types of blood vessels. If that has not worked for you I would suggest electrocautery with a very fine tip. Sclerotherapy on the face is tricky. Especially on the nose it can cause necrosis and leave scarring. I hope this was helpful. Yours Dr David R.

Answer: Electrocautery is most effective on face telangiectasias. Electrocautery is the most effective and cheapest of the treatments for facial telangiectasias. Have your doc use a 31 g. metal hub needle for fine results.

Answer: Facial telangiectasias and sclerotherapy It is difficult to see the veins discretely on the picture you posted. If the telangiectasias are big enough to inject with a tiny 32 gauge needle, sclerotherapy may help. I find that 72% Glycerin in a 2 to 1 ratio with 1% lidocaine and epinephrine works well. Again; however, the veins have to be big enough to place the bevel of the needle inside the vein. In some cases telangiectasias are so tiny that injecting them is impossible, injecting around them would not work. If you haven't had success with laser, consider asking your treating physician or get another opinion from a vein specialist. Best of luck.

Answer: Nasal and facial veins. The pictures veins are too small for sclerotherapy. Topical laser, IPL, micorneedle RF and Vein Gogh can all work on these kinds of veins. If the laser that you used did not work then an alternative should be tried.
