How long to wait before getting more Botox after unsatisfactory results?

Sorry you are having an unsatisfactory experience this time.  You may be able to have your provider place a very small amount of Botox in the medial depressor supercilii muscle as well as the tail end of the eyebrow  (orbicularis oculi) to help give you a little bit of a lift.  Be sure you are going to an experienced injector, as correct placement in these muscles is key to achieve the proper lift.  Other than that, waiting it out is your only option.  Since for most people Botox lasts about 3 months, you don't have a lot more waiting to do. If you can be re-treated within a couple of weeks to adjust the results of Botox injections then it can be reasonable. After that, the problem is that the Botox placed to alter the results of the first one will wear off later. And although results can often be tweaked, sometimes you just have to wait until the effect has worn off.

If there is asymmetry that can be corrected with botox even at this stage but it won't give you the lift. To get the lift at this stage you will have to wait until all the botox effect wears out and then you do botox again. 

You can have a touch-up of Botox now. Also, venus legacy and thermage treatments will soften results. Keep in mind, Botox results resolve in 3-4 months. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

You donot have to wait till the Botox is completely gone. Touch ups are the norm after Botox treatments. The effects of Botox start within 3 days or so and will be complete in a week up to two weeks . Our experience has been to see the full effect in 1 week. You can get reinjected in a weeks time but you can wait up to 14 days . 

At 8 weeks, you're about halfway through when your BOTOX® results would naturally wear off. You can keep waiting it out at this point, or visit your usual injector to at least try and resolve any asymmetry in the meantime. To achieve the lifted brow again, you'll likely have to wait until this round has fully worn off and you can start fresh. Best of luck to you.

Good Afternoon, thank you for your question, I am sorry to hear that you had this bad experience. At this point I think the best option will be to wait for the Botox wear off and have it done correctly, however, it would be interesting to visit a board certified physician to evaluate you in person and try to correct the asymmetry. 

You typically see the full benefits of botox treatment in 2 weeks.  After this period, additional treatment can be done if under-treated.  In your situation, it sounds like the forehead may have been over-treated if you notice some "drooping."  I'd recommend waiting for the current treatment to wear-off which can take 3-4 months.  As always, consult with an experienced and board-certified cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon.

I suspect you will need to wait 3-4 months for the Botox results to wear off. Either too high of a dose was used in the forehead or the Botox was placed too close to the eyebrows and this is probably what caused your eyebrow ptosis (drooping).
