Kybella, fat reduction and NOSE surgery at the same time! Is this ok?

Hello,If your are going to have a surgery on your nose, you might as well get the best result possible for defatting your neck: liposuction.  Aside from that fact, Kybella is expensive and you'll need more than one treatment, which would be done while you're awake.Best of luck!

Certainly a tip rhinoplasty and Kybella injections can be done together or days apart. Although it would be more efficient and effective for the neck fat reduction to be done by liposuction since you are already in the operating room and under an anesthetic for the rhinoplasty surgery.

There are no contraindications to combining these procedures. However, liposuction is a much better alternative especially if you are already undergoing another surgical procedure. Liposuction is the gold standard for fat removal with a one time treatment

Yes its Ok to have a rhinoplasty and do Kybella at the same time.  I am not sure I see the logic in this though.  If you are going to have rhinoplasty and it will take one to two weeks to heal and rest.  Why not just have liposuction of the neck and be done with the excess fat of the neck.  Liposuction takes 1-2 weeks to heal as well.  Kybella needs any where from 3-6 shots done one month apart and would have 2 weeks of induration and numbness of the skin.  Kybella is for people who are not having any surgery and don't have time to sit around and heal. 

Kybella has several limitations which include the fact that it will be necessary to  inject it 3-4 times with swelling in the neck noted for several weeks afterwards with each application. In addition, the sub- platysmal fat cannot  be removed with injections. Consider liposuction at the same time as the rhinoplasty  as a potential alternative which can remove fat throughout the entire jawline and neck. Hi there,You can have Kybella while you are recovering from your rhinoplasty. As you know, Kybella is injected in the neck in the office. It is a little uncomfortable, but very well tolerated. I think it is reasonable to plan to do the Kybella injection a few days after rhinoplasty and if you are not feeling up to it reschedule. By the way, any reason you are not considering liposuction of the neck during your rhinoplasty? Sometimes up front cost becomes an issue. good luck with your surgery!
