Hello, I had a stressful summer last year at work and ended up losing 10 pounds pretty fast, and at the same time I was tanning ect (stupid). I feel like my skin has suffered even though i've gained the weight back. My face has always been slim and never had pronounced cheeks but I feel like the nasolabial folds have become deeper and I just want to know what I should do to fix that. Thanks! (also I am a student so nothing to expensive )
Answer: Rehaping the face for fuller look Thanks for sending in our photo. It's becoming quite common in my area to see young patients with early volume loss. Stress, weight loss and a big fitness culture leads to many patients feeling their faces lose the roundness they had when younger. I would recommend fillers like restylane, Perlane etc given your young age. Permanent implants can be helpfull but not till your a bit older. Best of luck

Answer: Face and Loss of Volume You likely are a good candidate for fillers. I suggest seeking the advice of a cosmetic dermatologist with experience in contouring and treating younger patients. There are many options of filler types that can be used. Fillers are not cheap, and I would avoid anyone discounting or giving deals for fillers. Find an expert to treat you, do not compromise. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Fillers for loss of Volume Your rapid weight loss is the main reason for the loss of volume in your cheeks. At this point the best option would be Fillers: Radiesse or Voluma. they lasts around 1 to 1 1/2 year. You could use Juvederm Ultra Plus too but doesn't last as long. None of them are cheap, so be careful of "discounted" products, make sure they are approved. Go to an expert who has a good reputation.

Answer: Facial volume loss Correcting volume loss in the upper outer cheek area is often the best way to soften the nasolabial folds. This can be done with a variety of fillers but there is one made specifically for that purpose. It is called Voluma and can last up to two years. Other fillers (besides fat) last for about a year, so even though Voluma is a little more expensive it is more cost effective. See an experienced injector in your area for a more complete consultation.
