I had punch excision done and the scars are much deeper than before. How can I fix these? (Photo)

Dear KeevTHo,I would certainly have to examine you but in general, treating acne and the scars takes a comprehensive approach.There are a variety of ways to treat the scars .  A good first step is to get on a skin care regiment that normalizes and conditions your skin such as ZO Skin Health.  The next step that is relatively inexpensive is a peel or series of peels.The next step up would be laser resurfacing such as fraxel. Even with laser, some of the "ice-pick" scars still subsist and remain. I've found in my practice that local subscision, using a needle to elevate the scar followed by fat grafting gives the best results for these deeper acne scarsDaniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS

A combination approach and a series of treatments is needed to get the most improvement. These types of scars need a combination of lasers, microneedling/prp, TCA cross, punch excision, Cosmelan and fillers. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an acne scarring expert. Best, Dr. Emer

HI, we have found success with combining BellaFill Injections along with a dermapen/laser or Vivace procedure for treating acne scars. This is the best combination to fill in and smooth out the scarring. Good luck! 

Very hard area as its depressed on a convex area of the cheek. I would agree with either CO2 fractional lasers, or microneedling RF, subcision then filler. It is a very hard area to treat, and realistic improvements of 40-50% can be made. Narrow but deeper scars - TCA CROSS is ideal. All the best, Dr Davin Lim.
