Besides having slightly downward angled eyelids, you have slight lid retraction laterally on the lower eyelid, and mild ptosis on the upper eyelids. With a subtle ptosis repair on the upper eyelids, and a lower lid retraction repair with a conservative canthoplasty, you'll have an improvement in the aesthetics of your eyes. Seek an experienced Oculofacial plastic surgeon. There are some good ones in Salt Lake CityBest wishesAJ Amadi, MD
It is possible to make eyes more almond shaped. It is usually NOT just canthoplasty alone. See following video. Consultation is required.
There are procedures that can improve that but I would wait until you were over 21. Procedures on children with something that you have like downturned corners of the eye are most likely ill advised.
Yes. A small incision procedure with a suture can be done to gently pull the outer portion of the lower eyelid upward that can give a more upturned appearance. These are routinely performed by oculoplastic surgeons, but other plastic surgeons are trained to do these procedures as well. Seek someone with the proper credentials, local/national reputation, and great reviews and before and after pictures. Dr. Richard Anderson is in Salt Lake City, and is one of the world's most accomplished oculoplastic surgeons. Best regards.
Thank you for posting your photos. I would recommend you have a full evaluation as you may also have ptosis or droopy eyelids as is commonly known. This problem might be adding to your tired look. The position of your lower lid can be altered laterally with a procedure known as a canthopexy/plasty. I would suggest you look for a plastic surgeon with oculoplastic training as advanced knowledge and training in eyelid surgery is needed to correct both problems. Good luck!
Hi ceesmiles,Thanks for uploaded pictures, they are helpful!Yes, the procedure that you are looking for is called acanthopexy or canthoplasty. If you want to look up the structure that isrepositioned, it is called the “lateral canthus.” I hope this helps, and good luck!dr. silver
