It is not typically necessary to remove the Mirena for a tummy tuck procedure. The plastic surgeon will have to stratify your individual risk for these procedures.
It is my pleasure to answer your question. You don't have to remove the Mirena for the tummy tuck and Brazilian Butt Lift surgery.
I do not require the removal of the Mirena for this surgery. The risk of pregnancy during your recovery period is higher than the thromboembolism that could be caused with the surgery while having the IUD.
Typically, I do not require my patients to remove their IUD's before surgery, but it is important to let your doctor know that it is present.
From my stand point you would not have to remove a IUD for abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) or breast augmentation. I would also check with your gynecologist.
This is an uncommon allergy to have, but should not prevent you from getting a Tummy Tuck. Be sure to tell your surgeon so that he/she can prepare and come up with alternatives to keep you comfortable and irritation free.
I would not worry at this point your final results from tummy tuck can take 3-6 months. Over this time swelling will decrease and skin will further tighten. I would not consider revision until at least 9 months post op but hopefully you will not need a revision. Best of luck...
I can't imagine it would be a problem but why are you not asking your surgeon. Nothing any of say matters unless we are the surgeon.
