Dear Dinah22~Thank you for your question. In general, I would not recommend doing an upper lip lift at the same time as alar base reduction. The incisions for these two procedures are very close to each other in location. Doing the procedures at the same time would limit the ideal placement of either incision, in addition to causing swelling and distortion during healing which may impact the appearance of the scar.Best wishes,Amy Hsu
Thank you for your question. Lip lift and lip augmentation can be an excellent compliment to many plastic surgical procedures and can be performed in conjunction with a facelift, forehead/brow lift, laser resurfacing, rhinoplasty and with facial implants. Thank you for your question. It is important that you follow the post op recovery instructions provided by your board certified facial plastic surgeon. Each surgeon may differ in the instructions they provide because each patient differs in their unique health profile, procedure, and recovery n...
Thank you for your question. You are correct to note that the facial features work as a complement to one another. The most ideal angle between the nose and the upper lip, also called the nasolabial angle, should be between 95 to 110 degrees and the base of the nose should fall within the plane...
Thank you for your question and helpful photo. The separation does not require re-suturing. It will need to heal on its own. In the meantime, you will need to care for it until it fully closes. You will be surprised at how well it heals after a few months. If after 6 months or so, you are not ...
