Thanks for the question, we have lots of patients who have copper IUDs and use it on their gluten for a buttock lift. We have spoken with the head of the R and D of the company and they have green lighted this for us
Hi cats2253,Metal implants within 7 centimeters of the Emsculpt treatment area are a contra-indication for Emsculpt treatment. Each of our Emsculpt patients are examined and evaluated on an individual basis. Depending on their anatomy some may be treated, others not. We are more likely to treat the gluts than the abdomen. There are some practicioners who will treat women with a copper IUD, our policy has been to avoid treatment until the IUD has been removed or replaced with a non-metalic alternative if it is located within 7 cm of the Emsculpt treatment area. Good luck and be well. Dr. PEncino, CA
Hello, Techinically speaking any metal is contraindicated for EmSculpt. However, copper is not attract to magnets so it should not pull or move your IUD. Only issue is that the metal can heat up and cause discomfort. So if you do decide to try it, start slow and go up slow.
Thank you for your question. You can’t have an Emsculpt treatment if you have a copper IUD. The HIFEM technology contradicts with metal implants. Please make sure you seek treatment from a board-certified dermatologist.
Technically no. High Intensity Focused Electromagnetic energy can heat up any metal in the body. You might want to consider having the Paragard IUD changed out for a Mirena if EMSculpt treatment is important to you. The other advantages of Mirena IUD is that you will not bleed, or you will bleed very little.
Thank you for a great question. There is no right or wrong answer but we have been doing combination treatments and had great success with Emsculpt First followed by Sculptra. You can wait on menthe after EmSculpt to start your Sculptra injections just to see what kind of results you...
Hi Jaj, The initial treatment price is the standard price of $800 per treatment session. The additional 11 treatment sessions for $2400 works out to $218/session which is a good price. For the best deal, ask your provider to give you the $218/session treatments first...just kidding. There ha...
Hi,Emsculpt is FDA cleared to tone muscle. Anecdotally, we have seen leg skin tighten and cellulite improve after Emsculpt. The mechanism of action is probably as the muscle firms and lifts, the fibrous attachments to the skin lift also.Warmly,Dr. Liu
