Will Emsculpt for buttocks regime permanently destroy all the fat there? (Photo)

Question

I'm interested in starting EMSCULPT treatments, with a touch up routine every few months as needed to give a lift to my buttocks. However, I am concerned that this will permanently destroy all fat cells in my butt? I exercise regularly/eat well and don't believe I have much fat in my buttocks, and I wouldn't want to permanently destroy the fat cells existing there.

Hi Coldrobin,Fortunately there are two different settings for the Emsculpt treatment.  One preserves fat while building muscle (this is the setting that would be used on your buttocks), the other setting builds muscle and decreases fat.  You can put your fears of losing buttock fat "behind" you.  Good luck and be well.Dr. PEncino, CA

Thank you for your question! There are two different protocols for Emsculpt. Protocol one shreds fat and builds muscle simultaneously. Protocol two only increases muscle mass, so no fat will be lost in the buttocks!

The protocol that is used for treatment of the buttocks does not include the long train of super fast hypercontractions that the abdominal protocol has. That long train is what causes the fat reduction. The protocol used for the buttocks won't cause any fat loss, only increased muscle mass and tone. Protocol 2, designed specifically for treatment of the buttocks, allows for muscle building without targeting the fat. This lets us lift and tighten the buttocks without losing any volume.

Protocal 2 is used on the buttocks, which is strictly muscle building and does not involve fat reduction. Protocal 1 involves both muscle building and fat reduction. There are two protocols we can use with the EMSCULPT. One protocol is for the abdomen ONLY. It will destroy fat as well as building muscles. The protocol for the buttocks will not destroy fat as it is not desired for this area.
